At VectorBuilder, we are always looking to strengthen our organization by adding the best available talent to our growing team. We are seeking a driven Public and Media Relations Coordinator to participate in the development of world-class services and products to expand our portfolio.


  • Develop and execute strategic media outreach campaigns to promote VectorBuilder's innovative gene delivery solutions across traditional print, online, and broadcast media platforms.
  • Cultivate relationships with journalists, bloggers, social influencers in the biotech and life sciences industries.
  • Craft compelling pitches, press releases, and feature stories that highlight VectorBuilder's impact on scientific research, entrepreneurship, and emerging brands.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm creative PR initiatives and ensure alignment with VectorBuilder's brand mission.
  • Conduct market research to identify media trends, industry developments, and competitive insights.
  • Prepare activity reports and assist with client presentations to showcase the effectiveness of PR efforts in driving brand awareness and engagement.


  • Must be an effective, confident communicator with the ability to hold their own in conversations with all kinds of media
  • Must understand various social media channels and how they are utilized for PR
  • Must be able to differentiate needs of print/broadcast/online media (bloggers, journalists & reviewers) and know how to approach them accordingly
  • Must have the willingness and ability to think beyond traditional PR tactics and strategies to design/execute innovative approaches
  • Must possess extremely proficient writing skills and have a firm grasp of AP style
  • Must consume the media on a daily basis and be up-to-speed on current events
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • A minimum of 3 years of PR work experience, with a preference for experience in the biotech industry.
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • Some agency setting related experience and/or training preferred
