Located in several cellular components, including apical plasma membrane; cell surface; and nucleus. Used to study extrahepatic cholestasis; middle cerebral artery infarction; and prostate cancer. Biomarker of hypertension; oligohydramnios; and sciatic neuropathy. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in basal ganglia calcification; glioblastoma; infantile myofibromatosis; myeloproliferative neoplasm (multiple); and renal cell carcinoma.
