Located in several cellular components, including acrosomal vesicle; mitochondrial intermembrane space; and smooth endoplasmic reticulum. Part of TAP complex. Used to study autoimmune hepatitis and irritable bowel syndrome. Biomarker of asphyxia neonatorum; irritable bowel syndrome; liver cirrhosis; post-traumatic stress disorder; and pulmonary hypertension.
