    Enables guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity and microtubule binding activity. Involved in several processes, including establishment of mitotic spindle orientation; generation of neurons; and positive regulation of neuron migration. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including actin filament organization; negative regulation of podosome assembly; and regulation of Rho protein signal transduction. Located in several cellular components, including dendritic shaft; podosome; and postsynaptic density. Is expressed in several structures, including brain; dorsal root ganglion; and testis. Used to study neurodevelopmental disorder with midbrain and hindbrain malformations. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in neurodevelopmental disorder with midbrain and hindbrain malformations. Orthologous to human ARHGEF2 (Rho/Rac guanine nucleotide exchange factor 2).
